Shell LiveWire is excited to announce that applications to our Impact Makers awards are now open!
Formerly Shell LiveWire Top Ten Innovators, the global competition will continue in its mission to celebrate Shell LiveWire entrepreneurs making positive contributions towards Social Impact, Environmental Sustainability and Business Innovation. Equity-free funding of up to $20,000 is availableto category winners.
Inspired by the work and dedication of the bold businesses driving change worldwide, Impact Makers offers a unique chance for us all to recognise not just the result of your entrepreneurial journey, but the passion that’s allowed you to push through challenges along the way.
Impact Makers is open to alumni and entrepreneurs from Shell LiveWire and affiliated programmes. There are three categories:

Social impact: For businesses actively empowering their communities or addressing social challenges. This may include supporting livelihoods through job creation and helping individuals in low income and vulnerable groups acquire skills. It could also encompass providing goods and services to underserved communities or providing access to social services.

Environmental sustainability: Recognises businesses protecting and preserving the environment through waste reduction practices, carbon footprint reduction initiatives or responsible natural resource management.
- Business innovation: Awards businesses that demonstrate innovative product development, process improvements or strategies that address societal, industry or business challenges.

Next Steps & Important Information
- Make sure to read through the category information and eligibility criteria carefully
- Think about your business’s biggest strengths to help you pick which category to enter
- Review each question on the application and consider how best to communicate your business clearly; use strong examples and data to support your answers as the judges won’t have any other information about your business
- Take time to create a video pitch which you’re proud of. It should explain what your business does, the problem(s) it solves and its impact and achievements
